You have received an email in your inbox. It’s an online questionnaire on the social situation of students, in which students from all types of Austrian universities are surveyed.
The survey period runs from May to 11 June 2023. You will receive the access code from your university by email.
The core questionnaire allows a comparison with other European countries, while the additional surveys on digitalisation, mental health and well-being, and experiences of discrimination provide a deeper insight into the reality of students’ lives.

Why should you participate?
- to collect important data on the social situation of students

The Student Social Survey 2023 takes place for the first time since 2019(here are the results from 2019).
This means that important figures on the effects of crises – from pandemics to inflation – on everyday student life will be collected. Therefore – fill out the questionnaire quickly!
