Every year, the VEGA e.V. association organises the Astronomical Summer Camp (ASL), where 75 astronomy enthusiasts from all over Germany meet. For a full two weeks, they exchange ideas about astronomy, astrophysics and much more, and engage in fun activities together. They offer AGs with different contents every day: from stellar physics, cosmology and observation projects to special relativity theory, robotics and space travel, everything is included!
In between, there are rocket-building workshops, more or less sporty games, a day trip and lots of free time that you can organise yourself. In the free time, they offer workshops and lectures of all kinds – from lectures on rocket bases, black holes, the gravitational lens effect to workshops on the optimal construction of paper planes, Hebrew, cryptography, LaTeX, vacuum pumps (with practical exercises) and dry ice (even more practice!). They have an extensive science and fun programme, so you’re guaranteed never to get bored.
