Siegen, 13 – 15 July 2023
The workshop is aimed in particular at Bachelor’s and Master’s students of physics and philosophy, but also at students from other disciplines. In lectures and discussion groups, participants will be introduced to the research field of the philosophy of physics. The focus is on the philosophy of quantum mechanics, this time in particular on the topics of indistinguishability and the Leibniz principle, quantum logic and the interpretation of quantum mechanics. If interested, participants will also have the opportunity to give their own presentations (20 minutes lecture, 10 minutes discussion).
Previous knowledge of physics or philosophy is not required. Two overnight stays incl. breakfast and (if applicable, pro rata) travel costs will be covered for the participants. We look forward to receiving your applications!
