{"id":13003,"date":"2022-04-07T14:26:18","date_gmt":"2022-04-07T12:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/physik.nawi.at\/?p=13003"},"modified":"2022-04-07T14:26:18","modified_gmt":"2022-04-07T12:26:18","slug":"celebrating-women-in-physics-5-5-22-see-you-there","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/physik.nawi.at\/index.php\/celebrating-women-in-physics-5-5-22-see-you-there\/","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Women* in Physics | 5.5.22 see you there"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Students,<\/p>\n<p>we are excited to announce the second edition of &#8220;Celebrating Women* in Physics\u201d, which will take place on Thursday, 5th of May at the Sky Lounge (Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 1090 Vienna), to celebrate the International Day of Women* and Girls* in Science.<\/p>\n<p>This free, in-person event aims to highlight careers and experiences of women* in physics with a multifaceted scientific programme, which will include a workshop on Gender &amp; Diversity in the Cultures of Physics, scientific talks by renowned Physicists working in Austria and a panel discussion on the experiences of female* scientists at the various stages of their careers.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, this year&#8217;s event will include a poster session to showcase works led or shaped by women and gender minority scientists. Prospective participants are asked to upload a short abstract (max. 1 A4 page) by 11th of April via the web form. We accept all topics related to physics and participants from all stages of their scientific career. Participants will have the chance of winning a prize for the best poster, so we are looking forward to many great contributions!
