There you can get Windows and MS Office for free. Many other programmes are also available at reduced prices.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Algebra programmes<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wolfram.com\/mathematica\/\">Mathematica<\/a> ( licence fees! ) \u2192<em> acadcloud<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/andrejv.github.io\/wxmaxima\/index.html\">Maxima<\/a> ( open source )<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/de.mathworks.com\/products\/matlab.html\">Matlab<\/a> ( licence fees! )<em> \u2192 acadcloud<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scilab.org\/\">Scilab<\/a> ( open source, matlbab-clone )<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Data analysis\/ evaluation software<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/scidavis.sourceforge.net\/\">SciDAVis<\/a> ( free Qti plot fork )<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.qtiplot.com\/\">Qti Plot<\/a> ( licence fees! ) \u2192 acadcloud<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.originlab.de\/\">Origin<\/a> ( licence fees\u00b2! , but there are free licences via the Stv \u2192 <a href=\"https:\/\/physik.nawi.at\/index.php\/kontakt\/\">contact<\/a> )<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnuplot.info\/\">DIY gnuplot<\/a> ( non-gui )<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Text typesetting software (for protocols and scientific papers)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Mostly &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.overleaf.com\/\">Overleaf<\/a>&#8221; is used for writing papers and protocols. You can either create an account or log in with the u:access login data. On overleaf you can edit LaTeX documents in the cloud and also write synchronously in a team. The free version is very comprehensive and is sufficient for everything you need for your studies.<\/li>\n<li>You can also install<a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/LaTeX\">Latex<\/a> locally on your computer. This way you don&#8217;t have to rely on a company and an internet connection to be able to write LaTeX.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.lyx.org\/WebDe.Home\">Lyx<\/a>, a typesetting programme that uses Latex<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Error calculation<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mr-georgebaker\/PyError\">py_error-<\/a> a fine error calculator with graphical interface by our fellow student &#8220;mr-georgebaker&#8221;. <a href=\"http:\/\/georgebaker.lima-city.de\/doku.php?id=start\">[documentation]<\/a><\/li>\n<li>also often used for this are Mathematica or simply various websites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Programming \/ Code<\/h3>\n<p>For the programming courses, a local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.python.org\/\">Python<\/a> installation is actually sufficient. However, many students want something more graphical than a terminal<\/p>\n<p>You can get a <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/\">GitHub<\/a> Edu account (i.e. a free pro version including GitHub <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/features\/copilot\">Copilot<\/a>) for free with your university mail<br \/>\nThis also gives you free access to the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jetbrains.com\/\"> JetBrains<\/a> suite. So you can download <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jetbrains.com\/pycharm\/\">PyCharm<\/a> Pro for free<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/code.visualstudio.com\/\">VSCode<\/a> is also used sometimes<\/p>\n<h3>Online Office<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>cryptpad.fr \u2192 has all Office functions directly in the browser.
